Jenna Abbott has been in practice for more than 30 years providing highly effective, confidential counselling to individuals, couples, families. Jenna utilises proven theories to allow clients to achieve and enjoy the life that they want.
Jenna provides a highly supportive experience where she deeply understands the challenges her clients face and what is required for them to move forward differently. Coping with emotions and painful situations can be difficult to manage alone, therefore, Jenna believes that effective support at these times helps clients to successfully navigate distress. Furthermore, she gives clients the tools and understanding to navigate life’s difficulties and challenges so they may feel more empowered when met with such challenges in the future.
Jenna uses evidence-based therapeutic modalities to create personally tailored sessions for each client at each stage of their journey. These modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapeutic techniques, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, among others. With these techniques and the experienced gained over her career, Jenna is able to provide long term, meaningful change to her clients.
